Add the account
- Open the application account settings and choose to add an email account.
- Choose manual or advanced setup, then select IMAP.
- Enter the display name, complete email address and mailbox password.
- Set the incoming hostname to the assigned secure server hostname, port
993and SSL/TLS. - Set the outgoing hostname to the same server, port
587and STARTTLS. - Enable outgoing-server authentication and use the complete email address as the username for both servers.
- Leave the IMAP path prefix or root folder blank unless Support provides a value.
- Save the account, then send and receive a test message.
Note: If port
587 is unavailable in the software, use port 465 with SSL/TLS. Do not use unauthenticated SMTP port 25 in a mail application.Common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Folders do not appear correctly. | The software guessed a POP account or an IMAP root-folder value was added. | Confirm the account type is IMAP and remove any unrequested path prefix. |
| Sent messages are stored only on one computer. | The software uses a local Sent folder. | Choose the server-side Sent folder in the account’s folder or mailbox mapping settings. |
