Create a separate mailbox for each person or purpose that needs its own sign-in and stored messages.
Applies to: Email included with a SiteWorx hosting account
Create the mailbox
- Sign in to SiteWorx for the correct hosting account.
- Open Hosting Features > Email > Mailboxes.
- Select Add an Email Box or the plus button.
- Enter the part before the
@symbol and choose the correct hosted domain. - Set a strong, unique password and record it in an approved password manager.
- Set the mailbox quota within the remaining hosting-plan storage. Email, website files and databases share the plan storage allowance.
- Save the mailbox.
Confirm the mailbox
- Open Hosting Features > Email > Webmail and sign in with the complete email address.
- Send a message to an external address and reply to it.
- Confirm both messages arrive and that the displayed sender address is correct.
Common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The mailbox cannot be created. | The address already exists, the mailbox limit is reached or the domain is not hosted in this SiteWorx account. | Check Mailboxes, aliases and groups for the same address, then review the package limits. |
| The mailbox signs in but cannot receive mail. | The domain MX records do not point to the Tudor Internet mail service or DNS has not finished updating. | Check the domain MX records and test again after the relevant TTL. |
