Issue a certificate for the exact assigned hostname after the SiteWorx account and wildcard DNS are active.
Trial services are deliberately restricted and may not include every feature of a paid plan. Do not use a trial for production data, bulk email, long-term storage or activity that would be difficult to recreate.
Before you start
- Sign in to the Customer Portal using accurate customer details.
- Do not place important or irreplaceable data on a temporary trial service.
Step-by-step
- Confirm the complete hostname, for example example.trial.tudornet.uk, is attached to the trial SiteWorx account.
- Check that public DNS resolves it to the trial hosting server.
- Request Let’s Encrypt or AutoSSL for that exact hostname through SiteWorx.
- Wait for validation and check the certificate subject and expiry in a private browser window.
- Enable an HTTPS redirect only after the secure URL loads correctly.
- Do not request or expect control of a wildcard certificate for *.trial.tudornet.uk; Tudor Internet retains control of the parent domain.
Common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Certificate issuance fails. | The domain does not resolve to the hosting server, an incorrect AAAA record exists, or validation requests are redirected or blocked. | Confirm public A and AAAA answers, allow HTTP validation to reach the account and retry only after DNS is correct to avoid rate limits. |
| The browser still shows an old or invalid certificate. | A proxy, CDN, alternate hostname or cached connection is presenting a different certificate. | Check the certificate actually served for each hostname and test both IPv4 and IPv6 paths before reinstalling anything. |
Important notes
- Trial hostnames use the format example.trial.tudornet.uk. The trial is temporary and should not hold the only copy of important data.
When to contact Tudor Internet
Open a ticket through the Customer Portal when the checks above do not resolve the issue, when an action is unavailable for your service, or when continuing could risk data loss or service interruption. Include the following so the request can be investigated efficiently:
- The affected domain and SiteWorx account
- The exact error text and time
- The last change made
- Relevant log lines with passwords and personal data removed
