Email restore can duplicate, replace or reintroduce messages, so identify the mailbox, folders and date range before proceeding.

Applies to: Available SiteWorx email backups and provider restore points

Before restoring

  • Confirm the complete mailbox address and affected folders.
  • Check webmail from the server side rather than relying on one device cache.
  • Export current messages that must not be lost.
  • Record the approximate date/time and examples of missing messages.

Restore from a SiteWorx partial backup

  1. Sign in to SiteWorx and open Backups > Management.
  2. Select the required partial backup.
  3. Choose the email content and correct mailbox.
  4. Read the overwrite/merge information shown for the restore.
  5. Run the restore and wait for completion.
  6. Check webmail first, then allow IMAP devices to synchronise.
Note: Full-account and provider-managed restore points may require Tudor Internet or the reseller. Restoring mail does not guarantee recovery of messages that were never accepted by the server.
