Email restore can duplicate, replace or reintroduce messages, so identify the mailbox, folders and date range before proceeding.
Applies to: Available SiteWorx email backups and provider restore points
Before restoring
- Confirm the complete mailbox address and affected folders.
- Check webmail from the server side rather than relying on one device cache.
- Export current messages that must not be lost.
- Record the approximate date/time and examples of missing messages.
Restore from a SiteWorx partial backup
- Sign in to SiteWorx and open Backups > Management.
- Select the required partial backup.
- Choose the email content and correct mailbox.
- Read the overwrite/merge information shown for the restore.
- Run the restore and wait for completion.
- Check webmail first, then allow IMAP devices to synchronise.
Note: Full-account and provider-managed restore points may require Tudor Internet or the reseller. Restoring mail does not guarantee recovery of messages that were never accepted by the server.
