Create a restorable copy of the affected files and database before updates, imports, migrations or configuration changes.

Create a partial backup

  1. Sign in to SiteWorx.
  2. Open Backups > Backup Now.
  3. Choose Partial Backup.
  4. Select the website files, database and email data needed for the planned change.
  5. Choose the default SiteWorx backup location if you need the backup to appear under Backups > Management.
  6. Enter an address for completion status where requested.
  7. Create the backup and wait for the successful completion notification.
  8. Confirm the file appears in Backup Management and keep an additional copy outside the hosting account for critical work.

Record a rollback point

  • Backup filename and timestamp.
  • Domain, database and application version.
  • The change being made.
  • The test that will decide whether to keep or roll back the change.
  • Any data created after the backup that would be lost by restoration.
