  • 0

Create a restricted FTP account for a person or process that needs file access, then connect using explicit FTP over TLS.

Applies to: SiteWorx FTP accounts
Important: Standard SiteWorx file transfer uses FTPS on port 21. Do not select SFTP or port 22; customer SSH/SFTP access is not provided on Tudor Internet SiteWorx hosting.

Create the account

  1. Sign in to SiteWorx.
  2. Open Hosting Features > FTP > Accounts.
  3. Select Add an FTP Account or the plus button.
  4. Enter the username and generate a strong, unique password.
  5. Set the home directory to the narrowest directory the account needs. Avoid granting access to the whole hosting account when only one website or upload folder is required.
  6. Save the account.
  7. Copy the exact username shown in SiteWorx; account usernames may include the domain or SiteWorx account prefix.
