Customer SSH shell access and SFTP are not provided with Tudor Internet shared, charity, non-profit or reseller-hosted SiteWorx accounts.

Important: Do not enter a SiteWorx FTP username into an SFTP or SSH connection. SFTP uses SSH on port 22 and is a different protocol from FTP over TLS.

Administrative access
Port 22 may be used by authorised Tudor Internet administrators for server management. This does not make SSH or SFTP a customer hosting feature and those administrative credentials are never shared with customers.
Common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |

| An application reports “permission denied” on port 22. | The connection is using SFTP/SSH, which is not enabled for customer hosting accounts. | Change the protocol to explicit FTP over TLS and use port 21. |
| FTPS also fails. | The hostname, complete FTP username, password, TLS mode or passive-mode setting is wrong. | Compare every field with the FTPS settings article and reset the FTP account password if required. |
| A deployment process requires shell commands. | The software expects an SSH-capable platform rather than standard shared hosting. | Use the available control-panel/CloudLinux method or contact Tudor Internet before choosing a different service type. |
