The Customer Portal manages the commercial service; SiteWorx manages the hosting account.
Tudor Internet shared hosting uses SiteWorx for day-to-day website, email, database, DNS and file management. The Customer Portal remains the place for billing, service administration and support.
Before you start
- Sign in to the Customer Portal and open the affected hosting service.
- Have the current plan, domain and relevant SiteWorx setting available so the guidance is applied to the correct account.
Step-by-step
- Customer Portal: invoices, renewals, upgrades, cancellation and tickets. Read the confirmation text because the action may remove data or interrupt service.
- SiteWorx: websites, mailboxes, databases, files, PHP and backups.
- Domain controls: registration, contacts, nameservers and renewal.
- A task may require changes in more than one area.
Common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| SiteWorx does not open from the service. | Provisioning is pending, the service is suspended or the single-sign-on request expired. | Check the service status, sign out and back in, then open a ticket with the service ID and exact error if access still fails. |
| The account exists but the website is not live. | The domain does not point to the server, the wrong document root is in use or the site has no index file. | Verify public DNS, the domain assignment and document root before changing application files. |
When to contact Tudor Internet
Open a ticket through the Customer Portal when the checks above do not resolve the issue, when an action is unavailable for your service, or when continuing could risk data loss or service interruption. Include the following so the request can be investigated efficiently:
- The affected domain and SiteWorx account
- The exact error text and time
- The last change made
- Relevant log lines with passwords and personal data removed
